Academic Writing: Mastering Citation and Referencing All academic writing requires students to use in-text citation and referencing in order to acknowledge where their research comes from. This resource is for learners on pre-sessional university courses, either at undergraduate or graduate level, and for teachers who are teaching the fundamentals of research. Its aim is to introduce learners to the fundamental citation and referencing conventions, and to explain how to integrate sources into academic writing.
