Description
This book contains instructions and all the photocopiable resources necessary to make 26 games to be played with 3 to 5 years olds. Each game is linked to a common early years theme such as clothes, weather, transport, dinosaurs and animals. Teachers’ notes provide objectives for each game, instructions for making and playing the game, together with curriculum and book links. The games are invaluable for teaching and reinforcing essential basic early years skills and helping the children to work together to find out about topics such as colours, shapes and numbers, as well as learning the names of animals, about healthy eating and how plants grow. Whilst there may be ‘winners’ focus is on developing social skills and turn taking.
