Books and text material in the field of library skills and related issue are numerous; addressing principles, fundamentals, methods, concepts, activities and related scientific ideas. Nonetheless, rare are the books that deal with practical use of library skills for professionals, scientists and technical experts such as engineers. This book is written to address the elements of library skills HUMN 201-203 course that includes: Library cataloguing (Dewey Decimal Classification and the Library of Congress systems), Use of Library resources, Introduction to Databases and efficient use of it for research purposes. The course is being offered at the Department of Environmental Engineering of the College of Engineering of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. This book is expected to be of value to engineers, town planners, designers, consultation firms, and researchers. The broad objectives of this book are to facilitate teaching, improve learning, shoulder training and assist research in the appropriate use of library skills and concepts based on well-established procedures used in the domain.
