Auctioneer is defined by law as a person licensed by the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation to conduct, advertise or offer services to conduct auctions of real, personal or mixed property. All applicants must be at least eighteen years old. To qualify for an auctioneer license, one must pass the Board’s licensing examination covering the Board’s laws and rules. Also, the license is valid for one year. To renew, one is required to furnish a copy of a surety bond in the amount of $10,000 that will remain in effect for the duration of the renewed license term.We give you knowledge information relevant to the exam specification. To be able to succeed in the real exam, you’ll need to apply your earned knowledge to the question scenarios. Many of the exam questions are written to be less straight forward. They tend to be framed within the context of short scenarios. An advice: Do NOT rely on a single source for exam preparation. To secure exam success, always use multiple sources and read as much as possible!
