Recreation: Identity Consciousness and Social Resistance, Vargas, Julie S., 9786206462903

Description

This text presents an investigation about the relationships that contemplate and shelter identity within recreational spaces. From the educational action research, it analyzes how recreation can promote free decision and how it can form a person more conscious of herself and of the environment that surrounds her to strengthen her identity. By observing under what arguments the young women in the research consolidate their identity, it was investigated how these identity processes are conceived, through the collective construction of recreational spaces, and an environment of curiosity was generated through free decision. Recreation seen as an autotelic and free space that does not seek products beyond one’s own experience that welcomes the freedom to decide and express, the possibility of being through consciousness and collective construction in spontaneity. Recreational spaces harmonized new forms of interaction, through autonomy, free participation, recognition and awareness of the environment and of themselves.
