Wooden ships and iron men. For those that like their history strong, those words put pictures in our minds of fast clipper ships and schooners, bucko mates, whiskered skippers and cargoes including puncheons of Rum. Putting all this aside, Pictou County produced more than their share of those wooden ships and iron men who built and skippered them.
