This manual offers practical guidelines for mentors working with student teachers, based on the authors’ experience within the Oxford Internship Scheme. It consists of materials that have been used on the pilot scheme, each of which is evaluated in light of the authors’ success with them. Each unit of the text is concerned with one aspect of working with student teachers. Methods of working are explained, along with suggestions for procedures and discussion of common problems and their solutions. The text is photocopiable, with flow charts, checklists and diagrams for ease of use.
