The United States Continental Navy, A Beginning: October 13, 1775. Sea to Shining Sea; Captains and Lieutenants… Is the untold story about the lives of a few of the men who were merchants. These men were thrust into a situation unimaginable, leaving families behind. The trials and tribulations they experienced on the high seas is beyond comprehension. Yet, they continued to endure for the sake of a new nation like no other. Many good men suffered unimaginable torture upon capture, yet never let go of the dream of a new independent nation for their children and children of the future.
