What this book will not provide: Templates that will allow you to simply change the name and apply to your person (client, participant). (MBOs must always be individualized to the person, situation, and objectives. Anything less is a huge disservice to the individual and whoever is paying for the intervention.) ALWAYS individualize for the person AND context. Goals are essential, but without objectives, without the logical steps to achieve the goal, without adjusting as often as needed, (like a GPS which frequently recalibrates) your chances of reaching your destination are slim to none. Think about it this way, if you were following the directions from your GPS and came upon a huge detour due to construction, and your GPS did not recalculate, what would likely happen Even if you were to eventually reach your destination, how much time would you waste?
