In recent years, nanocrystalline ferrite thin films have attracted great attention from chemists, physicists, and materials scientists due to their unique chemical, physical, and mechanical properties. Apart from their technological importance in the electronic and magnetic industries, ferrites have been used as a highly reproducible gas and humidity sensor material. Also, as ferrites are metal iron oxides, which exhibit properties such as various redox states, electrochemical stability, pseudocapacitive behavior etc. and due to that now a days they can be used in supercapacitors and Li-batteries, such devices require the methods to be found to deposit ferrite in thin film form. This book, therefore, provide novel chemical methods for the deposition of NiFe2O4 thin films for gas sensors and supercapacitors. The research results highlighted the important role of chemical solution deposition methods in ferrite based gas sensors and supercapacitors. The research analysis should be especially useful to the scientific community working in thin films and direct industrial application of ferrite thin films. Dr. Jayavant L.
