In order for entrepreneurship to play a role in socio-economic development, a balance needs to be struck between focusing on individual entrepreneurial activities and regions, and society-wide changes. Contributing to the discussion, this new Palgrave Pivot focuses on how critical concepts of transformational entrepreneurship can be contextualised for regions and countries. Following on from the Editors’ two previous books Systemic Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Centres, this new volume delves deeper into how transformational entrepreneurship practices can be implemented in different geographical settings. An invaluable read for policy-makers as well as scholars, this book provides a series of detailed case studies from a number of countries including the UK, Australian and China. Gideon Maas is the Director of the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship and Professor of Professional Practice at Coventry University, UK. With a wealth of experience in international business and academia, Gideon has created entrepreneurship centres at various different universities and developed and implemented a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes focusing on entrepreneurship. Paul Jones is Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swansea University, UK, as well as Visiting Professor at Coventry University, Anglia Ruskin University, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales. Having published widely in leading journals, Paul is an active researcher in the fields of entrepreneurship and small business management, and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research.
