With the recent slowdown in US space activities and the current economic downturn, US advances in space have slowed and are unlikely to turn around in the short term. At the same time, China has made significant advances in both funding and capabilities regarding space, with a large budget and big plans for the future. This paper explores the pros and cons of a possible US-China joint venture and answers the question, ‘Is space big enough for a US-SINO partnership?’
